This policy describes how the FAD YouTube Tools application (“the App”) uses Google / YouTube account data when uploading and managing videos for the Furnished Apartments Dallas YouTube channel (@FurnishedApartmentsDallas, channel ID UC_CYA_3ptR5jPG5CTq0OSQA).

Who this App is for

The App is an internal tool used only by F.A.D Management staff and our authorized automation agents. It is not offered to the public and has no end-user sign-up.

What the App accesses (YouTube / Google)

With the channel owner’s OAuth consent, the App may access:

  • Upload videos to the authorized YouTube channel (youtube.upload scope).

  • Manage channel content over HTTPS needed to set titles, descriptions, tags, privacy/schedule, and related metadata (youtube.force-ssl scope).

The App does not request Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts, or Google Ads scopes for this client.

How we use that data

Data from YouTube is used only to:

  1. Upload the daily “30-Second News: Dallas, TX” Short (and related FAD channel videos) as instructed by the channel owner.

  2. Set metadata (title, description, tags, category, Made for Kids declaration, schedule/privacy).

  3. Confirm the correct channel was selected before writing.

  4. Keep operational logs (video IDs, timestamps, success/failure) for troubleshooting.

We do not sell YouTube data, use it for advertising to third parties, or share it with unrelated products.

Data storage and retention

  • OAuth tokens are stored in a locked secrets folder on our private automation host and a protected copy on the owner’s PC. They are not committed to public repositories.

  • Uploaded video files and production logs are kept in our internal project folders as needed to operate the channel.

  • You may revoke the App’s access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. After revocation we stop calling the API with that token; residual logs may be retained for record-keeping for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Third parties
Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children. Videos uploaded for this channel are declared not Made for Kids unless the channel owner instructs otherwise for a specific video.

Deletion / account removal

To delete stored OAuth tokens or request deletion of App logs related to your Google account, email operations@furnished-apartments-dallas.com with subject “FAD YouTube Tools — data deletion”. We will confirm within 30 days. You should also revoke access in Google Account permissions.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted to the channel owner by email.
